I have learned today that a Cheese Cloth is the English term for SAKO NG HARINA! :))

Jeanette and I went to Uyanguren, not knowing what we were supposed to be looking for. We needed the cheese cloth for our gumamela extraction to be used in our research.

We went around asking if their shop has a cheese cloth available. Since we didn’t know what a cheese cloth was, we went to the hardware, merchandise shop, fruit stand, and the textile section at NCCC.

Then our group leader told us to go to Agdao, so we did. We went to the public market and started asking around again. We asked in the bakeshop, the store for animal feeds, and even the rice grain stand.

BUT NO ONE KNEW WHAT A CHEESE CLOTH WAS!

So Jeanette and I decided to rest for a while and I asked Weng what cheese cloth was. I laughed at his reply, because we had the right suspicion all along. A cheese cloth is the english term for SAKO NG HARINA!

Laughing at our ignorance and sighing with relief, we went inside the market and was finally able to buy the ever evasive cheese cloth! :))

Plus, we bought some souvenir from the market. A cellphone chain worth 5 pesos. That’s right. FIVE PESOS! :D
