Freeze - Lee Seo Jin & Park Han Byul

Lee Seo Jin - Baek Jung Won

Park Han Byul - Kim Ji Woo

Son Tae Young - I-hwa

Do vampires really exist? Are there still 300-year old vampires roaming around our contemporary world?

Freeze tells a story about two vampires living for over 300 years in modern Korea.

Some would say that this series is absurd because it carries the concept of dark creatures. But this series is one of the results of Koreans' creativity because in its 5 episodes, viewers could see and understand what contemporary vampires go through. Haing been caught between not doing bad and trying to survive, most of them were forced to kill people just to satisfy their thirst for blood while some of them use the black market to buy blood to drink.

But no matter how exciting a vampire's life can be, it could become more exciting especially if that vampire who lived under the darkness would enlighten up as one falls in love with a human.

Baek Jung Won fell in love with his former lover's daughter, Kim Ji Woo and I-hwa, not wanting it to happen tried her very best to keep them apart, even comitting heinous crimes just to impress Jung Won.

But love, once it is felt can never easily be broken apart by greed and selfishness for only in love will you find comfort from all your insecurities be it for over 300 years. This series showed how a person is willing to change and decides to live longer just for love and how this person also tries to keep his love in safety even though it meant hurting that love.

Although Freeze has quite a bad ending, I think it is great in general and for five episodes only, it can already show us a lot of things about good and bad vampires alive and how humans deal with it.
