Enchanted - Patrick Dempsey and Amy Adams

Synopsis: The tale follows the beautiful princess Giselle as she is banished by an evil queen from her magical, musical animated land--and finds herself in the gritty reality of the streets of modern-day Manhattan. Shocked by this strange new environment that doesn't operate on a "happily ever after" basis, Giselle is now adrift in a chaotic world badly in need of enchantment. But when Giselle begins to fall in love with a charmingly flawed divorce lawyer who has come to her aid--even though she is already promised to a perfect fairy tale prince back home--she has to wonder: can a storybook view of romance survive in the real world?

Review: Well, just like any other Walt Disney movies, Enchanted is also a super fairy tale story only made to be in a so called LIVE ACTION film.

It started with the typical cartoon scenes with the maiden finding the prince and falling in love at first sight.

But the wonder of this movie is that it actually compared and contrasted the love in a fairy tale and the love felt in the real world. Indeed, we might say that it's a childish movie but if we deeply understand the meaning of the story, we will know what it actually wanted to tell us.

Love, in the real world is so not the same as a fairy tale love. When we were little kids, we always dreamed to be a princess just like in a fairy tale. We dreamed of meeting our prince, and sharing our first kiss with them, but on the contrary, we know that those dreams will remain as dreams.

Because there are no such things as love at first sight, waiting for the knight in shining armour to come and waking up after receiving the true love's first kiss.

In the real world, we have love struggles. We have arguments, misunderstandings, long conversations, datings, getting to know each other and sharing the first kiss with passion and meaning.

In the real world, Happily Ever After doesn't come by like the wind. It comes after having been tormented by the evil witch aka the mother-in-law and after trust has been broken or fidelity has been challenged

But just like any other fairy tales out there, we can make our love grow deep and we can also have our own happily ever after, if sincerity in love is shown.

I was also mesmerized by this movie's soundtracks. No wonder it has been nominated in the Oscar's and indeed it won.
