Lee Min Ki - Park Moo Yeol
Lee Eun Seong - Yoo Eun Jae
Ye Ji Won - Jung Hee Kyul
Ryu Seung Soo - Kim Yong Soo
Synopsis:
Moo Yeol is a taekwondo instructor who falls for Eun Jae at first sight when she comes and asks him to help her find gold treasures at the agency. Hee Kyung is a tarot card master and Yong Soo is a manhwa shop owner who passes his days with no dreams nor hopes but gets involved in the gold hunting simply for fun. Moo Yeol, Hee Kyung, and Yong Soo gather together at the empty Inquiry Agency office and they discover a dead corpse in the basement. The four of them later decide to start a treasure hunting project.
This is also a drama without a love story.
This is the first time that I've seen a Korean series without a love story. But indeed, this series was able to prove that it doesn't need a love story between two persons for the story to become extraordinary.
This series has a mixture of drama, fun and action all in one moment. There were some scenes where you'll cry but will end up laughing.
The story was also quite unique. It was also my first time to watch something as unique as this since it didn't involve any love triangle, strict parents, forbidden love but it involves a TREASURE HUNTING story; probably the only treasure hut story in the history of Korean series.
The way the puzzles were solved, the time alloted for each of the clues to be deciphered were all so well calculated and it can also help you learn some of the Korean history with a mixture of fiction.
Every episode will really leave you hanging, hence would make you crave for more episodes. Indeed, I didn't have any boring moment as I've watched all 16 episodes of this series.
Each character in this story al had their own struggles in life, whether they be poor or rich, but friendship has brought them together and loyalty has made their bond stronger.

Jo Jin Mo
Kim Ah Jong
Synopsis: Hanna is a lip sync vocalist for Ami, the famous Korean pop singer. Even though she is always ignored because of her appearance, she has been a bright and lighthearted girl until Amy humiliates her in front of Sang-jun, her secret love. At last she makes a decision of a lifetime to have plastic surgery all over her body. Her unrequited love gets any return?
Review: I actually couldn't believe that I've watched this movie just now. I mean I've actually spent a year ignoring it when a lot of people were already compelling me to watch it.
So I did. Because of MJ, of course! haha! And yeah, I had fun while watching this movie.
It was quite amazing watching a 200-pound woman turn into a hot chick in just a year.
It was my first time watching Kim Ah Jong act and she was really cute in this movie. Seems like no matter how much she tried to become someone else for her love, she still ended up becoming herself.
I've cried so much in the last part of this movie, where everything touching was shown and told in just one scene. Indeed, it's a really wonderful movie.

Park Min Young as Yoo Eun Byul
T.O.P as Chae Moo Shin
Son Tae Young as Shin So Yi
Synopsis: The story focuses on the conflicts between the young teachers and the problems that high school students have. Jang Yi San is a timid and incompetent classical music teacher who has to teach the only daughter of a highly dangerous mob leader. Eun Byul is the mob leader's daughter and she is also a new student at MyungMoon High but knows nothing whatsoever.
Review: Although it may seem absurd, I believe that somehow, a teacher and a student also have the right to fall in love with each other.
This 16-episode series showed the typical struggles a korean high school experiences; both the teachers and the students.
As it focused on one student, the other one was neglected and so each of them must be treated fairly so as not to create conflicts.
This is a really funny series. Teacher Jang was a typical homeroom teacher with his eyes only set upon his fellow teacher. But when a new student arrived and changed his life, he also has changed his views.
The story of this series wasn't much as interesting as the others that I've seen but it actually made me laugh, angry and sad at the same time.
There are lots of weird stuff happening in this series but it ended the way viewers wanted it to end: a happily ever after for the main characters.
Review: I am actually a huge fan of Saw. I've seen the previous movies from the first one which was shown last 2005 until the third one which I believed was the last Saw movie.
Until my brother bought the "pirated" DVD of Saw IV. It surprised me actually because I was like, "Hey, Jigsaw was already in dead in the third movie, how come there is still the fourth?"
And so I watched. And it surprised me on how the movie got more twisted and more gross! haha!
I really can't help but be amazed with the writers of this movie. From the first movie to the last, even though we've already known who the killer was after the first movie, it was still too confusing as how the movie twists went from the beginning 'til the end.
It was really amazing because unlike any other typical serial killing movies, this movie actually teaches people to value life no matter how helpless they may seem.
Although we knew that John - or Jigsaw as he was popularly known to many - only wanted to teach his victims a lesson, we also couldn't deny the fact that he is a serial killer. A killer who has a penchant of torturing his victims both physically and psychologically.
When I watched the Saw series, it actually scared me. Scared me to the point that I never wanted to waste my life again just like what Jigsaw's victims did. It taught me to love myself, my profession and most especially the people around me.
It may seem weird but this gruesome movie brought positive feedbacks especially when I think about how much people have wasted their time trying to perfect their not-so-perfect lives.
I also salute Tobin Bell's acting even though he only showed up as the cancer-tortured John in the movie, I couldn't agree more as MTV Movie Awards awarded him "Best Villain" two years in a row.
Synopsis: The tale follows the beautiful princess Giselle as she is banished by an evil queen from her magical, musical animated land--and finds herself in the gritty reality of the streets of modern-day Manhattan. Shocked by this strange new environment that doesn't operate on a "happily ever after" basis, Giselle is now adrift in a chaotic world badly in need of enchantment. But when Giselle begins to fall in love with a charmingly flawed divorce lawyer who has come to her aid--even though she is already promised to a perfect fairy tale prince back home--she has to wonder: can a storybook view of romance survive in the real world?
Review: Well, just like any other Walt Disney movies, Enchanted is also a super fairy tale story only made to be in a so called LIVE ACTION film.
It started with the typical cartoon scenes with the maiden finding the prince and falling in love at first sight.
But the wonder of this movie is that it actually compared and contrasted the love in a fairy tale and the love felt in the real world. Indeed, we might say that it's a childish movie but if we deeply understand the meaning of the story, we will know what it actually wanted to tell us.
Love, in the real world is so not the same as a fairy tale love. When we were little kids, we always dreamed to be a princess just like in a fairy tale. We dreamed of meeting our prince, and sharing our first kiss with them, but on the contrary, we know that those dreams will remain as dreams.
Because there are no such things as love at first sight, waiting for the knight in shining armour to come and waking up after receiving the true love's first kiss.
In the real world, we have love struggles. We have arguments, misunderstandings, long conversations, datings, getting to know each other and sharing the first kiss with passion and meaning.
In the real world, Happily Ever After doesn't come by like the wind. It comes after having been tormented by the evil witch aka the mother-in-law and after trust has been broken or fidelity has been challenged
But just like any other fairy tales out there, we can make our love grow deep and we can also have our own happily ever after, if sincerity in love is shown.
I was also mesmerized by this movie's soundtracks. No wonder it has been nominated in the Oscar's and indeed it won.
A graduation without my batchmates.
A graduation with younger colleagues.
A graduation with my fellow LATE GRADUATES.
A graduation after practicing my profession.
But still, a graduation worth being put in our memories.
So I had this "second thoughts" thing about graduating actually. I finally decided to try marching wearing a toga even if it isn't actually my year of graduation.
I herded my other friends who haven't graduated in our batch and I had Jericho, Erickson, Vernie and Glenn with me.
I thought it'll be awkward but it was indeed fun. Erickson kept on joking that kids were all around us during our practices because indeed, those graduates we were with were a lot younger than us.
How funny has it seemed. But it was a memorable experience. Receiving a fake diploma, transferring my tassel from the left to the right and bowing before a huge number of people onstage, is something worth not forgetting.
Indeed, I didn't regret graduating or let's say marching for graduation this year although it wasn't with my original batchmates. =]

Ok, the telecast for the pageant was shown last Saturday but I was out partying with my friends so I wasn't actually able to watch it.
My friends who have seen the telecast told me about this Bb. Pilipinas World and how she embarrassed herself during the Q & A portion. I wasn't informed well so last night, my brother showed me her video in Youtube.
So I watched.
Paolo Bediones: Janina, how are you?
Janina San Miguel: I'm fine.
Paolo Bediones: Alright, so you won two of the major awards - Best in Long Gown, Best in Swimsuit, do you feel any pressure right now?
Janina San Miguel: No, I don't feel any pressure right now.
Paolo Bediones: Confident! Alright! Please choose a name of the judge.
Paolo Bediones: We have Miss Vivienne Tan.
Vivienne Tan: Good Evening.
Janina San Miguel: Good Evening.
Vivienne Tan: The question is, what role did your family play to you as candidate to Binibining Pilinas?
Janina San Miguel: Well, my family's role for me is so important b'coz there was the wa- they're, they was the one who's... very... Hahahaha... Oh I'm so sorry, Ahhmm... My pamily... My family... Oh my god... I'm...
(Paolo Bediones: Pwede ka magtagalog,ok lang) Ok, I'm so sorry... I... I told you that I'm so confident... Eto, Ahhmm, Wait... Hahahaha, Ahmmm, Sorry guys because this was really my first pageant ever b'coz I'm only 17 years old and ahahaha I, I did not expect that I came from, I came from one of the taf 10. Hmmm, so... but I said dot my family is the most important persons in my life. Thank you.
All througout the 2-minute video feed, my hand was on my mouth and I was saying, "Oh My God" over and over. When the video ended, Kuya asked me, "Unsa man imong masulti?" (What can you say?). I was like, "Kuya, Oh My God!"
Yeah, that was the reaction I had when I saw the video. OH MY GOD. I couldn't believe that she was able to win Bb. Pilipinas World with what she did.
I mean, setting the grammatically wrong sentences aside, she wasn't able to answer the question that even a grade school student could answer. Her answer had a lot of twists and her bottomline was "her family's role was very important" which as a matter of fact, didn't answer the question.
Paolo Bediones told her that she can speak Tagalog but she didn't do it, she continued on embarrasing herself as she spoke. "I did not expect that I came from, I came from one of the taf 10." Okay, so it took me a while to decipher the true meaning of that statement. Probably, she meant that she didn't expect to be chosen as one of the TOP 10. In fact, I DIDN'T EXPECT IT, TOO! hahaha!! That was a really crazy pageant and the fact that she won Bb. Pilipinas World, I could say that there was something fishy going on.
The news said that she is an AB Mass Communication student. I personally couldn't believe that a Masscom student wasn't able to construct simple English sentences and yeah, someone like her was able to make it into the pageant.
The news also mentioned that she was being compared to Melanie Marquez, but as far as I can remember, Melanie won Miss International because she was able to answer the judge's question correctly even though she had some flaws in her English grammar. I myself couldn't even bring to compare the two of them. Because Melanie may not know how to speak English well, but she can answer a question correctly.
I agree with what Ruffa Gutierrez said. The pageant isn't only about beauty and body. It should also be about intellect and your ability to even speak the INTERNATIONAL LANGUAGE properly.
A lot of people who commented in Youtube said that Janina shouldn't be laughed at in fact, she should be supported because there were even other international candidates who don't know how to speak English as well.
But that wasn't my point. My point was the fact that she spoke so confidently with that grammar that only she has known and with that answer that only she was able to understand was what was embarrassing.
It's not an issue of language. It's an issue of INTELLECT and the ability to understand. If she wasn't able to understand the question clearly, then she could have asked for anyone to translate it so that she would be able to understand. She wasn't able to answer the question. Or maybe she was, just that we knew that that wasn't actually the answer because the question was WHAT and not WHY.
Just like what she said at the end, her bottomline was that her family are the most important persons in her life. Did that answer the question?
Think again:
QUESTION: What role did your family play to you as candidate to Binibining Pilipinas?
JANINA's ANSWER: but I said dot my family es the most important persons in my life. Thank you.
Have you thought enough?

Everything’s over, right? There should be no YOU and ME anymore
There should be YOU and HER this time.
The day you broke my heart, the day you made me cry, the day you destroyed my trust, was the day when we were over; supposedly over.
It took a while for me to move on; to recover; to stand up again.
It hasn’t been hard for you because you got her. You got her and I let you go.
I tried so hard to get rid of this pain I was feeling since you left me. I tried hard not to make things complicated for the two of you.
But you made me hold on. You asked me to stay although we knew we couldn’t be the same again.
Things have changed as time passed by. I wasn’t supposed to be hurting anymore. I was supposed to smile whenever I meet you with her.
Because I agreed to be your best friend again, and I agreed to treat her right again.
But I couldn’t do it. I just couldn’t try and be nice to someone who stole half of my heart from me. I just can’t smile lightheartedly to someone who took you away from me.
So I couldn’t be nice and because I wasn’t nice, I was hurt more.
Because you tried to make us get along well and made me change myself for her.
But why me? Why should I do it I the first place? Why should I follow you and be nice to someone who stole you away from me.
And due to my bitterness, I became the bad girl; the bad “ex-girlfriend”.
I became bad in the eyes of her friends, in the eyes of your friends. And you know what hurt me more? Because you didn’t stand up for me.
You allowed those people to scrutinize me; to judge me; to make me feel bad.
You tolerated her insecurities and allowed her to spread bad rumors about me; allowed her friends to think ill of me; to believe that I was trying to steal you back from her.
Lately, I was trying to be happy. To forget all about you, all about her, all about us.
But why am I still aching? Why do I still feel the pain in my heart whenever I think about the two of you?
Am I being insecure myself? Am I being like her? Am I being like my rival just because my heart still beats for you?
Do I really have to stay like this? Do I have the right to stay like this? Do you have the right to put me in this misery for almost three years?
I don’t know the answers to my questions anymore. I don’t even know if I would be able to forget you in the future.
But all I know now is that my heart still aches for you and I still get jealous of her.

Yesterday, I received a text message from Marcherry inviting me to her birthday. Ok so who is Marcherry? Familiar? Well she was the one of those I mentioned in the blog I posted before with a picture of her and Akeem at Lake Agco.
So Marcherry and I know each other although we haven't actually hang out together yet so I might say we aren't really close. Just common friends with Akeem and Dhawell so it surpirsed me when she invited me.
I texted Dhawell and I told March that I'm going to go. The party was supposed to start at 8pm. I came late because it rained and I have to wait for my brother to come back to drive me to Crown Regency because taxis weren't available at that time.
Luckily, we're Filipinos. The party started at 9pm. I was so happy to see Tracy and Ceejaye with Kuya Kid there because it has been so long since I've seen them and I've missed them so much.
So we ate dinner and had some games afterwards. Ceejaye won on the San Mig Light Bottoms Up contest and she won a gift certificate from SM City.
Then we had more games afterwards, the drinking games and the grand prize was a date with March, of course. Dhawell mentioned it will be at Pearl Farm and he and Akeem will be paying. Oh jeez, kill yourself, Dhawell! haha!
At around 11pm, I guess when the after-party has started and March became busy entertaining other guests, the TAEBOIZ arrived. Yay! Yes, them! haha! I missed them so much actually and I was just too happy to see them again.
Since they were there, then the inuman sessions started. Tequila, Fundador, Red Horse, Vodka Cruiser, Mudshake, Coke and Water! haha! I took a drink since I haven't seen them for so long, I think I should pay some price also for not going with them before.
As the guys went drunk, the night got deeper, we all became happier with our singing sessions. Since the party was held on a Residencial Hotel, we were even told off by the Task Force because our voices were disturbing the other occupiers.
It was really fun. I mean I haven't done this with them for such a long time and God knows how much I love and miss these people.
So yeah, I went home at around 4:30 am. I woke up at 8, imagine that! Body clock never stops functioning! haha!
Marcherry, today's actually your birthday! So HAPPY BIRTHDAY! and thank you so much for inviting me! Hope you'll have a good time when you go to London.

Sypnosis: Jane is idealistic, romantic and completely selfless--a perennial bridesmaid whose own happy ending is nowhere in sight. But when younger sister Tess captures the heart of Jane's boss--with whom she is secretly in love--Jane begins to reexamine her "always-a-bridesmaid..." lifestyle.
Review: always a Bridesmaid, Never a Bride. That's Jane Nichols, alright. A selfless favorite bridesmaid played by Katherine Heigl.
This movie is about a woman's selfless love to people whom she knew are very important to her and soon, she was unable to find her own self, or even her own life.
This is a typical love story of a woman who wore 27 Dresses on a wedding which were not hers and a man, just trying to upgrade his status on a newspaper column. Together they met, had some adventures and fell in love.
27 Dresses shows women that probably the reason why they don't get married in times that they wanted to was because they were actually neglecting the right men who re already in front of them as they tried to be noticed by the wrong ones.
Synopsis: Angus, a young Scottish boy, finds an enchanted egg. Taking it home, he soon finds himself face-to-face with an amazing creature: the mythical "water horse" of Scottish lore. Angus begins a journey of discovery, facing his greatest fears and risking his life to protect a secret that would give birth to a legend.
Review: I know that the Water Horse is a story derived from the legend of the Loch Ness monster. A monster spotted in Loch Ness, Scotland sometime during the war in the 1930's. Many claimed that this "monster" was real but as years went by, it has merely became a legend.
This was the most popular photo taken of the believed monster sometime in 1934. Many said it was fake and some believed that it was real and that the monster existed.
Because of the legend, a fictional story of the Loch Ness monster has been created and that was what I watched together with Dhawell I think last Wednesday.
In the movie, amidst the war happening between Scotland and the Nazis of Germany, a kid named Angus found comfort and friendship with this legendary monster called the Water Horse. It was beleved that the Water Horse only lays an egg when it gets old and before the egg hatches, the parent dies living the newborn Water Horse as an orphan.
It was only a legend thought but Angus, her sister and the house's handyman believed that it esxisted as they took care of it.
It was such a cute childish movie but since Dhawell and I loved fantasy movies like this one, we well appreciated the story of love and trust between humans and monsters.
Plus, in the movie, the picture I posted above was made to be fake as a journalist tried hard to capture a photo of the monster and because he failed, he made a fake dummy of the Water Horse and took a shot of it on the sea, resulting to that photo which has already been known around the world.
Joo Jin Mo - Lee Shin Jeon/Chase Lee
Lee Bo Young - Kang Eun Seol
Choi Joon Young - Kim Pil Suh
Kim Soo Hyun - Park Joo Won
Synospsis:
23 years ago, Kang Eun Seol's father, Kang Jae Ho, stole the position of Lee Shin Jun's father. This led to Lee Shin Jun's father to commit suicide with his wife and son. Now 23 years later, Lee Shin Jun, also known as Chase, wants revenge and isn't going to stop until he gets it. He makes Kang Eun Seol fall for him, so that he can get to her father. But there is a twist, Lee Shin Jun has also fallen in love with Kang Eun Seol, but Lee Shin Jun's partner, Park Joo Won loves him too... Later Eun Seol finds out about Shin Jun's revenge plot against her father and she decides to get revenge on him for using her..
Review:
Story: I actually didn't know how the synopsis said that eun Seol took revenge after finding out that Shin Jeon just used her to get back to her father when no revenge actually happened as I watched the whole 20 episodes.
Well, Eun Seol pretended that she took revenge but it was only to end the war between the two families as she realized that they can never be together as long as her father's still alive, and Shin Jeon's mother as well.
Actually, I only took a risk in watching this series because I never knew about it at all. I mean, I only read the synopsis and told myself, why not try watching this? This is the first time for me to see Joo Jin Mo act, aside from some bits and pieces in Fashion 70's, and Lee Bo Young as well.
I knew Joo Jin Mo was also the lead in the blockbuster Korean hit movie, 200 Pounds of Beauty with actress Kim Ah Jong although unfortunately, I haven't seen that movie yet no matter how many times I promise that I would.
They did not fail me though. As I've watched the whole 20 episodes, I've been mesmerized by how well the story went and how well the episodes have connected with each other. Each episode ended with a nice cliffhanger that makes you want to sit down and watch another hour of the next episode.
This series tells a story about revenge and how love has won over evil deeds. It told a legend of undying love and patience until they reached onto a happy ending. I was never bored in every episode and I know I will really not fail if I recommend this to other k-series lovers.
Characters: The character that I loved most here was of course, Kang Eun Seol. All throughout the series, she has shown her tough side and her ability to move a person by love. Being brought up in a welthy family, she has never looked down on people who weren't on her level and she fought for what she believed was right even though it meant breaking her father's heart.
As she fell down together with the illness of her father, she learned to stand on her own feet and fight for life as she got bothered again by the same person whom she loved and left years ago. =]
