Yuletide Bliss

weee! Christmas time is fast approaching! it has only been a while when November said goodbye and now, i't already Christmas Eve! Time for the family get-together and of course, wonderful dinner that all of you could share!

Time for presents and all those stuff that you wanna have!

But wait a minute. Is Christmas today really the same as the Christmas in the past few years? I think not. What with all the crisis and the shortage of money.

But then, this crisis still won't stop me from being excited for the Yuletide season. Because I've came to realize that money isn't really the reason for happiness. Cliche, right? But having so many friends and loved ones made me feel very special especially in this season.

At least I still get to receive the presents that were really meant to be given on the holidays! At least I will still be able to taste Fiesta Ham and good food for our Noche Buena and at least Christmas time is still as blissful for me as it was in the past few years!

MERRY CHRISTMAS, CHIGU! JUST SMILE AND HAVE FUN! =]

Whispering Corridors: Voice - Kim Ok Bin and Seo Ji Hye

Kim Ok Bin - Park Yeon Eong

Seo Ji Hye - Kang Sun Min

Is it possible to have a ghost with a Double Identity Disorder?

Well this fourth installment of Korea's Whispering Corridors will show you one.

Voice is a story about a student named Park Yeon Eong who was killed while practicing for her song piece. Having a lot of questions in mind on how she died, her spirit stayed inside the school and luckily, her bestfriend, Kang Sun Min canhear her voice although she can't see her.

Following Yeon Eong's voice, Sun Min stayed in the school every night and found another tragic sight. Their Music Teacher, hanging on the ceiling of the music room. Thinking that the teacher has something to do with her bestfriend's death, Sun Min tried her best to uncover the truth that lied beneath the death and her bestfriend.

But bizarre things started to happen as Sun Min befriended the school's so called freak. Yeon Eong started to realize who she really was and what really caused her death as well as the others.

She started losing her voice as Sun Min tried to forget her, paying attention to Cho Ah, the freak girl. She later on realized that she has caused the death of her music teacher through her second personality as a revenge for the death of her teacher's favorite student before who happened to have the same voice as Yeon Eong.

Jin Hyu killed Yeon Eong because of jealousy and Yeon Eong killed the teacher in revenge. The weird thing was Yeong Eong did all of it all along without even knowing it.

This movie was just like one of those unexpected Korean horror movies. You never jnew what really happened or what will happen unless you sit it out all throughout the showing.

This series shows the love of a friend towards another that not even death can separate. Jealousy over another person can indeed be fatal and if revenge shall be paid, it could be deadly.

This movie has a good story plot although the screenplay was quite disappointing because it wasn't even scary at all.

Three stars for this movie! =)

Sassy Girl Choon Hyang - Jae Hee and Han Chae Young

Jae Hee - Lee Mong Ryong

Han Chae Young - Sung Choon Hyang

Who would have thought that two high school students will get married at an early age and just 10 days after they met each other?

Sassy Girl Choon Hyang is a series that will really make you fall in love and laugh and cry at almost anytime! This series also tests how much a person can live and go on just for love.

Sung Choon Hyang was an ordinary girl who lives in a village. Due to poverty, she worked a lot just to earn money. But this girl was also very intelligent and she was considered the prettiest in her school. Because of her educational ability, she has greater chance to have a scholarship on a prestigious University in Seoul.

Lee Mong Ryong was a son of a very respected Police Chief Officer. He was a bully and he loved to pick fights with his classmates in school. When his father was assigned to Namwon Police Station, that's when he met his fate, Sung Choon Hyang.

Choon Hyang and Mong Ryong's friendship started because of an accident and some cellphone dilemmas. Yet, they were good friends and Mong Ryong started to like Choon Hyang. But one night while Choon Hyang was sick and because of Mong Ryong stupidity, their lives changed.

They were both accused of sleeping together that night when Choon Hyang was sick. Well they did sleep together but nothing really happened. Mong Ryong wasn't able to go home because he accidentally drank all of the plum wine that Choon Hyang's mom made and so he slept at her room.

However, their parents found a way to solve the problem and the scandal. They decided to have them married.

And both agreed, having a contract between the marriage that they were having. And then both started living together. Mong Ryong, after being rejected by someone he liked for a long time, started liking Choon Hyang more. And Choon Hyang, seeing the bubbliness in Mong Ryong, started feeling the same.

But Mong Ryong's former love started going back to him therefore destroying his relationship with Choon Hyang causing them to break up and go on seprate ways.

Until a CEO of a very popular Talent Center fell in love with Choon Hyang. With the best he could and the money he had, he started helping Choon Hyang financially since she wasn't able to go to college because she couldn't afford it.

Mong Ryong on the other hand, continued looking for Choon Hyang and winning her again. Although her former love Han Chae Rin held on him tight, he still went to Choon Hyang whom he lved so much.

But Choon Hyang was already determined to break up with him, thinking that he wasn't over Chae Rin yet. She used Byun Hak Do to make Mong Ryong jealous and to push him away.

But Mong Ryong stayed on Choon Hyang's side as Hak Do's love for Choon Hyang became an obsession. He and Chae Rin found ways to break the happy couple up though they failed.

Mong Ryong and Choon Hyang started over as a couple but before their proper wedding ceremony, Hak Do framed Mong Ryong up on a crime which put him to jail and made his father resign from work.

Choon Hyang was forced to break up with Mong Ryong so that Hak Do will stop destroying the man she loved. She was forced to cancel their wedding and to let Mong Ryong believe that she didn't love him anymore.

And for the second time, they seprated ways which lasted for years.

But fate, truth and justice had it for the couple. They met up again this time, working together to stop Byun Hak Do from destroying Mong Ryong. And they succeeded.

So finally, they had their wedding wothout any obstacles in their lives.

A very long and complicated story yet this is the only series where I've seen a guy so determined to win back the girl he loved so much even after all that she's done.

A lot of sacrifice has been done for the sake of saving a loved one. This is indeed one of the hardest decision in life. Leaving your loved one just tospare him from danger.

But as they say, "Love will find a way" and love will indeed take you back to the one you love.

Angel in Heaven

I went to check my blog last Wednesday morning and received a shocking news in my cbox.

Andie posted that Joie died at around 7 pm last Tuesday. I didn't really know how to react as I was so shocked with the news. Then I told myself, "Ok, finally she took a rest."

I went to work, texting our other friends about the news. That's when I finally absorbed everything that happened and I started to cry.

I didn't cry because of the fact that she's gone, I cried because of the fact that I wasn't able to say a proper goodbye before she went away. Cried because of the fact that I'm gonna miss her bubbliness while we were talking. Cried because I lost my Korean-watching friend!

I really can't forget the times we spent talking about cute Korean guys on the series that we were watching and I love the way she bragged about who those cute guys are.

I can't forget the times she talks about Lee dong Wook and how handsome he is that she can't even believe he's real! Hahaha!

But after crying, I finally came to accept the fact that she's gone. That she has finally become an angel again after she was sent her eon earth to put smiles on people. I'm happy that she finally will be able to rest and find peace.

Somehow, Joie's loss brought about happiness because I'd rather see her that way that see her suffer because of her illness.

I love you Joie and you'll always be with us, I know. I know our Friendship won't be taken for granted even in the after life.

And finally, Young Jae was able to confess how he felt for Ji Eun and asked her to marry him again, this time, not out of contract but out of love. True Love.

There are a lot of unbelievable coincidences in thise series as well as the fact that Ji Eunand Young Jae are both very funny couple! They fight a lot yet they find ways to show how much they like each other.

Full house is a story of high hopes and positive thinking. It'a all about finding ways to smile even with the smallest reason and being happy even in little ways. Love blooms not because it has to. Love blooms because it is your choice.

Five stars for this very funny series! :D

Memories of a Good Friend

People know her as Joie, some consider her an alien, but people who are close to her consider her a sister. A funny, very entertaining sister. Yes, that's Joelle Maxine Lindley.

I met her sometime this year when I started becoming active in the W.I.T.C.H forum. Meeting her for the first time seemed like meeting her again after not seeing her for a long time. Yes, Joie indeed felt like a friend whom I've known for long.

She's a very jolly person and although there's a language barrier between us, she doesn't make herself feel left out because she knows how to meddle with every kind of people.

Joie is someone whom you'll love just talking to her and laughing with her. She could be everybody's friend and she never chooses standards.

But then I've discovered from one friend that she was terribly sick. Her leukemia has gotten worse and now, she's spending her remaining life in the hospital.

It was indeed a shocking news knowing just weeks ago that she was doing very fine and she's gonna be active again next month. We had high hopes about her return but everything was crushed when Denise broke the news.

So sad, it has been a while since I've posted about my feelings and I did this because I just wanted to fill out my emotions. Although we haven't met personally yet, she has already grown into me and I can already consider her as one of my bestfriends.

But this happening can't be stopped when you just say stop. I think fate has had it. she has been in a lot of troubles before but she remained strong. Maybe this is the time when she truly has to let go and take a rest after all her sufferings.

I really feel bad for her fiancee and most of all for her daughter.

I'll miss you, Joie! Hope you'll stay with us since you'll be stuck in our hearts!

...ing - Kim Rae Won and Im Soo Jung

Kim Rae Won - Lee Yeon Jae

Im Soo Jung - Kang Min Ah

She never thought she would find someone to love.

He never thought he would feel real love for her.

Gang Min Ah was transferred to a new school and also to a new apartment with her mom. She was somehow happy and was enjoying her single life. However, Min Ah found it hard to have friends because she was sick and spent most of her life in the hospital. She also happened to have a deformed hand.

As unexpected as it could be, Lee Yeong Jae, a neighbor from downstairs started befriending Min Ah. He took a lot of photos of her and even took her out for a walk.

Until such time that both fell in love with each other. But unfortunately, Min Ah started to fall ill again and this time, her life became shorter. Yeong Jae then realized that he can't lose her, that he already loved her although he only started the friendship because Min Ah's mom paid him.

Min Ah's death wasn't at all that sad since throughout the days that she was alive, she found love and trust in an ordinary annoying neighbor who only wanted to see her smile.

This film was very short and I was even surprised when it ended in a snap but then within those short minutes of the film, I've already seen a lot of love blossoming between the two main charatcers.

It is indeed hard to trust someone but that someone can make ways for you to trust him. It would be either they will hold your lighter a hostage and sacrifice his turtle for you, you will still soon realize that this someone must have loved you so much to try and make you trust him.

Five stars for this movie! =)

The Man in the Vineyard - Oh Man Seuk and Yoon Eun Hye

Oh Man Seuk - Jang Taek Gi

Yoon Eun Hye - Lee Ji Hyun

Can a city girl fall in love witha farmer? Can someone who dreamed of becoming rich choose to live a simple life?

Well The Man in the vineyard will definitely answer your question. Impossible indeed but this could happen in real life.

Lee Ji Hyun was a fashion designer working on a very popular clothing line. She dreamed to have clothes branded by her name yet she didn't have the money to do so.

Being very optimistic about getting rich, she did her best to make beutiful designs to impress her boss. Unluckily, her boss was the one who took everything away from her as she stole Ji Hyun's newly designed clothes and admitted it as her own.

Having no work, Ji Hyun still didn't stop dreaming about becoming a famous designer until her grandfather came to Seoul and asked her to work in his vineyard for a year before letting her inherit the land.

Knowing what life she may have in the countryside, Ji Hyun refused her grandfather's offer but thinking about the future use of the Vineyard, she was forced to leave her city life and live in the countryside as a farmer. There, she met another farmer whom she already met in Seoul because of some embarrassing circumstances.

Jang Taek Gi was a very kindhearted but hot-headed farmer. He worked at Ji Hyun's grandpa's Vineyard since he was 7 years old. He was assigned to teach Ji Hyun farming but unfortunately, they never got along well ever since they met.

Taek Gi always made sure that Ji Hyun will have a hard time working in the Vineyard. Being a city girl, she was always reluctant in doing hardwork. But since her mom wanted her to inherit the Vineyard, she saccrificed everything just to impress her grandfather.

Together with Taek Gi, Ji Hyun learned how to grow good grapes, learned how to drive a tractor, learned how to flirt with a hot doctor who happened to be his college friend, learned how to spray insecticides, learned how to take a shower outside the house, and also learned how to LOVE.

As Ji Hyun spent her life in the vineyard as a farmer, she didn't realize that she was already falling for the simple farmer whom she despised so much at first sight. Although Ji Hyun already had a boyfriend, she still can't help noticing Taek Gi especially the things he has done to her.

Taek Gi was never Ji Hyun's type. Aside from only being a farmer, Taek Gi wasn't really good looking unlike her boyfriend who's got the looks and money at the same time.

But as unbelievable as it could be, Ji Hyun and Taek Gi slowly fell for each other despite all their arguments and grudge with each other. They both learned how to help each other and even how to show care for each other.

Indeed, Ji Hyun finally realized that it isn't money that she needed. It is someone to spend her life with, someone who loves her not because she's a city girl but because she's herself, she's Lee Ji Hyun, the girl who worked hard and cried simply seeing the result of her hardwork.

On the other hand, Taek Gi realized that a nice girl wasn't what he needed, but someone who will understand him despite his hot temper and one who will try her best to learn even the hardest things in life.

Love indeed moves in mysterious ways and you've got to experience it first before finally telling yourself that you are in love. Sometimes fate may bring the future to you and sometimes your own choice may also lead you to happiness. Had not Ji Hyun followed her heart, she might not be happy with the doctor whom she thought she liked.

Realizing that love is just right under your nose is sometimes unbelievable because we tend to think of the future first rather than the present when you could be happiest.

Five stars for this series! :D

Wishing Stairs - Park Han Byul and Song Ji Hyo

Park Han Byul - Kim Soo Hee

Song Ji Hyo - Park Jin Sung

This is the third installment of Korea's Whispering Corridors series which is so far the best out of the four installments.

A story of two bestfriends torn apart by greed and a single wish.

Kim Soo Hee and Park Jin Sung were bestfriends majoring in ballet. They were so close that even teachers find it hard to separate them.

Soo Hee was their ballet teacher's favorite and whatever mistake she made, the teacher never scolds her instead blames everything on Jin Sung.

Because of this, Jin Sung started to envy her bestfriend even though Soo Hee did everything for her.

Soo Hee loved Jin Sung so much that she never wanted to be away from her. She usually dreamed of them together going to Europe to perform onstage. But Jin Sung took everything for granted, wanting to be on her bestfriend's place.

When there was a competition for a representative to be sent to Russia, Jin Sung found herself competing against Soo Hee. But knowing that she can't beat Soo Hee, she became desperate. Until she found out the solution.

Han Ju, a girl obssessed with Soo Hee told Jin Sung that the staircase leading to her doemitory grants wishes if she finds the 29th step. According to legends, the fox grants the wishes of whoever has found the 29th step in the usual 28-step staircase.

Thinking that it's true and because she was so desperate, Jin Sung tried what Han Ju told her. Putting all her faith and heart to it, she started counting the steps of the stairs until she really found the 29th.

But she didn't know that a simple wish could lead to a big problem. Jin Sung only wished to win the competition against Soo Hee but the stairs seemed to have more in mind than that simple wish.

Becuase of too much greed, Jin Sung even managed to put some shards of glass inside Soo Hee's toe shoes, distracting her toes. But nonetheless, Soo Hee still managed to dance gracefully in front of the judges. This maddened Jin Sung more, that she pushed her bestfriend down the stairs injuring both her legs.

Because of depression about what her bestfriend did to her, Soo Hee jumped off from the hospital building killing herself. This became a huge shock to Jin Sung but she ignored it knowing that she didn't have any competition anymore to represent Russia.

But weird things started to happen after Soo Hee's death. Jin Sung has been haunted by nightmares of her bestfriend and worse was Han Ju started acting very weird after wishing from the stairs to return Soo Hee to her.

She was then possessed by Soo Hee's spirit scaring the hell out of Jin Sung. After killing her rival in arts, Han Ju started following Jin Sung as if she was Soo Hee.

In the end, Han Ju killed herself on a fire, thinking that Soo Hee has never liked her and believing that Jin Sung also never liked Soo Hee as much.

But the story didn't end here. Jin Sung was still haunted by Soo Hee and so she decided to go back and wish from the stairs to return everything back to normal.

But as unbelievable as it could be, instead of the 29th step, Jin Sung saw Soo Hee waiting for her up the stairs. Telling her how much she wanted to be with her and that she never wanted to leave her alone. She hugged Jin Sung, saying that she cannot wait for her bestfriend anymore, thus killing her the way she was killed on the stairs.

Scary huh! After watching this movie, I even told myself that I will never have a bestfriend anymore. Well this movie will really show how much one can do because of greed.

Friendship can sometimes be taken for granted especially when dreams are in line. Because of selfishness, terrible things could be done and friendship could be ruined.

But still, friendship can find a way to put things back into place. In this movie's case, killing Park Jin Sung so she can be with Kim Soo Hee once again.

Never take friendship for granted. It is only once when one can find a true friend and sometimes letting that friend go could either be hard or couldhave consequences.

Five stars for this movie! =)

Whispering Corridors - Kim Gyu Ri and Choi Sae Yeon

Kim Gyu Ri - Lim Ji Oh

Choi Sae Yeon - Youn Jae Yi

Jookran High School looked so typical fromthe outside, but inside, terrible happenings could be known. Apart from terrifying teachers who would really hurt their students, some dark secrets lie within the school which will be unveiled bythe comeback of the school's alumni, Hur Eun Young as a new teacher to the school.

Lim Ji Oh was a high school student in Jookran with high dreams. She isn't popular yet she isn't bad in school either.

Youn Jae Yi was a quiet and very dependent girl. She and Ji Oh became friends when they were assigned as the school's maintainance for the week.

Things could have gone well when the school was shocked by the death of a faculty member. Fearing that her best friend who died 9 years ago might be behind this, Eun Young found ways to solve the puzzle running in the school.

Still bizarre killing happened in the school without any trace of possible evidences until such time that Ji Oh found something she wasn't supposed to find in the place where Eun Young's bestfriend died.
The puzzle was solved and Ji Oh found out that Jae Yi wasn't whom she supposed to be.

Jae Yi has been killing the teachers in school because they love to pick on Ji Oh all the time. Being the only one to accept her, Jae Yi promised not to let anyone hurt Ji Oh.
But Ji Oh never asked for this to happen and so she convinced Jae Yi to finally stop the horrors happening in the school so everyone will be at peace.

This is a Korean Horror that will somehow leave you hanging. Well I admit that I didn't find this movie amusing. This isn't somehow the type of horror I was expecting as I started watching.
I realized as I've watched through the end that the story has a very poor plot although the characters have been so good. I was kinda disappointed in this movie because apart from "no" ghost appearances, the ending seemed a bit peculiar.

One star for this movie =/

Goong: Princess Hours - Joo Ji Hoon and Yoon Eun Hye

Joo Ji Hoon - Lee Shin

Yoon Eun Hye - Shin Chae Gyung

Kim Jeong Hoon - Lee Yul

Song Ji Hyo - Min Hyo Rin

Monarchy in modern Korea? Is it really possible? Well think of it, tradition and modernity going together. Do you guys think it's a bit slightly off key?

Well not for this most popular series in South Korea. This series dared to change the people's perspective of a Korean Monarchy.

Goong means Palace in Korean. Yes, it is indeed very significant since most of the plot in this series happened inside the palace where love and tragedy bloomed.

Lee Shin Goon was the current Crown Prince of the South Korean monarchy. Upon discovering the illness of the king, the royal family quickly fulfilled his request to have his grandson married to someone to be the Crown Princess. Shin's grandfather has made a promise with his bestfriend who was a commoner to have his grandson and the commoner's granddaughter married. Fulfilling the promise, the royal family made ways to convince the girl about the marriage.

Shin Chae Gyung was one of the commoners in South Korea who goes to an exclusive high school, majoring in arts. She goes to the same school with the Crown Prince, but unlike him, no guys or even girls flocked around her when she arrived in school except for her three bestfriends. Her common life would change though when she found out that she was the one destined to be married to be the Crown Princess.

Min Hyo Rin was the school's outstanding ballerina. She and Shin were dating when Shin found out about the political marriage. Shin begged her to marry him just to escape from that said political marriage yet Hyo Rin rejected him, fearing that she might have to give up her career as she tried to be the Crown Princess. But her decision was so wrong.

Lee Yul Goon was the original Crown Prince but because of the tragic death of his father, he and his mom were forced out of the Palace. Because of anger, Yul's mom brought him to London where he grew up. Upon hearing the Crown Prince's marriage, Yul and his mom went back to Korea for revenge in getting Yul's postion back. There, he met the Crown Princess and fell in love with her.

Complicated story? Well quite, yes. As Chae Gyung and Shin spent their married life inside the palace where Chae Gyung received training as a Crown Princess at the same time going to school, obstacles came between their relationship and the royal family as well.

Hyo Rin realized that she should have agreed to Shin's proposal. Being under the brainwashing of Yul's mom, she did her best to get Shin back from Chae Gyung, even though it meant ruining her dancing career and even her reputation.

As for Yul, his desire to become King again grew when he started falling in love with Chae Gyung. Knowing that he was the one who was orignally agreed to be married with her, he did his best to take back what was "originally" his even though his mom hated the Crown Princess so much.

These desires to get back what was lost lead to a tragedy and a great controversy ever to happen to the Korean Monarchy. But as what a story should be, everything was solved in such wonderful ways.

Hyo Rin finally realized that she cannot get back Shin's heart since Chae Gyung already had it and even though Yul still wanted Chae Gyung, he gave up his desire to be the Crown Prince just to spare his cousin from injustice.

In the end, Yul didn't become the Crown Prince anymore and Shin gave up the position also, putting his older sister to the throne as the new Queen of Korea.

What happened to Shin and Chae Gyung then? They went to another country and started a new life there. Marrying again this time not for political reasons but for love reasons.

Having a monarchy in modern Korea isn't easy. In this series, it is shown that tradition and modernity hardly coincide since the elderly have different perspectives that the younger ones. But this could make us realize that even though old traditions must be relieved in a monarchy, things could also change like the forcibly political marriage and keeping the family of non-Crown position away from the palace.

And of course, who could forget love. Well this story shows us how love can develop even between two strangers who grew up in two entirely different worlds and also how love can sometimes hinder happiness but bring back what you deserve!

Five stars for the longest Korean series ever! :D

Kim Bok Sil was an ordinary village girl who was happy to just stay in the village with her mom and teacher, selling wild ginseng. but everything changed when she met Director Choi Seung Hui as well as Hye Su's cousin.

Sonn truth was revealed. They found out that Kim Bok Sil's real identity was Lee Hye Su's younger sister, Lee Hye Rim. A lot of things and tragedies happened to their relationship. They even decided to break up just to make Bok Sil's mother happy. But Bok Sil was very weak. Every single day that she was apart from Seung Hui, she became more weak. Until one time when she broke down and cried, telling her mom how much she missed the director.

This incident made her mom think and finally deciding to let her and Seung Hui continue their relationship.

This is a typical forbidden love story but the destiny of seeing each other is what made this story wonderful. "Which Star are You From" refers to Bok Sil who was almost the same girl Seung Hui loved. Despite all the hardships and pain and despite all the arguments and arrogance, they both coped and stood up together declaring their love for each other.

Undying love indeed. it doens't really require time or fate, just FAITH.

Five stars for this series! :D

Arang - Lee Dong Wook and Song Yoon Ah

Lee Dong Wook - Lee Hyun Ki

Song Yoon Ah - Soo Young

Who says horror movies are only for scares? Nah, not this one! This looks like a typical scary Korean horror but as you watch the film through the end, you will realize something else matters more than a scare.

This is a story of a veteran investigator and a rookie forensic scientist working together to solve a mystery of a group of friends dying with only one evidence left at the crime scene; a website to the salthouse where a very pretty young girl lived.

Lee Hyun Ki teamed up with Soo young to investigate this killing mystery. And as they worked together to find more evidences and to solve the puzzling deaths, more and more revelations came out about the mystery girl on the website and also about Hyun Ki.

Soon, soo Young found out the connection between the girl and Hyun Ki. She found out that he was the boyfriend of the girl who lived near the salthouse where she was raped and killed by a group of guys from Seoul. Hyun Ki, finally letting out his hatred longed for revenge and so did some things that made those guys hallucinate as ifseeing the girl they killed kill them too.

The story ended with Hyun Ki killing himself after finally seeing his girlfriend's body under the salt mound in the salt house and the last member of those guys die after seeing her, proving that they didn't hallucinate at all when they saw her.

This movie isn't only about seeing ghosts and being killed by them. This movie also showed how much someone can do for love even in the afterlife. Being a photographer and a devoted boyfriend, Hyun Ki proved that even after the death of his girlfriend, he's still ready to declare his love for her.

Five stars for this movie! :D

A story of love and hatred, Hanoi Bride will surely capture the hearts of men and women alike.

Park Eun Woo was a doctor who was assigned in Vietnam. There, he met a pretty half Korean named Ly Thi Vu. They both fell in love with each other and had this typical lovers' relationship.

But there was a catch. Thi Vu's sister who was left by her Korean boyfriend before forbid Thi vu to have a relationship with a Korean man fearing that her sister might experience what she has experienced before.

Another thing, Eun Woo found out that his father has died and was forced to go back to Korea. Before leaving, he asked Thi Vu's sister to tell Thi Vu to meet him at the airport before departure. Trusting her promise, he waited for his girlfriend at the airport but unfortunately, no Thi Vu showed up.

6 moths after, Eun Woo's brother finally returned home from Vietnam with a fiancee. He met Eun Woo and introduced her to him. To his shock, he found out that the fiancee was Thi Vu, the girl whom he loved and left 6 months ago.

Planning for a revenge for abandoning her, Thi Vu agreed to go home and marry Eun Woo's brother. Neither of them knew the real reason why both have separated without words.

Things became complicated as both of them discovered the reason for their fate. Thi Vu found out that Eun woo left because his father died and Eun Woo found out that Thi Vu's sister never informed her about the meeting at the airport that was why she never showed up.

Upon discovering these reasons, Eun Woo and Thi Vu's love brought up another spark to their relationship and returning to Vietnam, again they started a relationship which will now end without misunderstandings.

Hanoi Bride is just a typical love story of two people meeting up, separating and meeting again. But as the story twists, you will appreciate how love can make both terrible and wonderful things.

MISA: I'm Sorry I Love You - Im So Jung and So Ji Sub

So Ji Sub - Cha Moo Hyuk (Mico Cha)

Im So Jung - Song Eun Chae (Celine Song)

This is a tragic love story that shows what love can do.

It all started in Australia where Moo Hyuk and Eun Chae met through a tragic incident.

Moo Hyuk was a gangster who was abandoned by his adoptive parents in australia. He longed to see his real mother so he worked hard to earn money to be able to fly to Korea.

Eun Chae was a coordinator to a popular singer Choi Yoon whom she has loved secretly for years, suffering while she watched him fall in love with another actress.

Neither did they know, fate will make them fall in love with each other. Even if both of them already spent a night together when Moo Hyuk's friends robbed Eun Chae, they didn't know that they will see each other again because of some circumstances.

Moo Hyuk was shot on the head twice on his girlfriend's wedding. His life became critical because one bullet cannot be removed or it would be fatal.

Having only a few months to live, he went back to Korea to look for his real mother. As unbelievable as it could be, he found out that he has an abnormal twin sister and his real mother was also the mother of Choi Yune.

That's the time when he met Eun Chae again whom he barely remembered. But she remembered him so well. Thinking that Moo Hyuk likes her, Eun Chae tried her best to send him away.

But as they spent good times together, Moo Hyuk started to fall for Eun Chae, wishing her to stay with him and to take care of his sister and nephew when he is gone.

No one knew about Moo Hyuk's identity except Eun Chae's dad who was responsible for throwing the twins away when they were born and the man who took care of Moo Hyuk's sister after they were left outside the orphanage.

As months passed and Moo Hyuk's health deteriorated, his love for Eun Chae grew stronger and Eun Chae also started falling for him, wishing Yoon to let her go and hold Moo Hyuk's hand. But because Yoon has a weak heart, she was forced to leave Moo Hyuk whom she thought was healthy and went with Yoon.

Until such time that Eun Chae found out that Moo Hyuk was sick and dying. She promised to be with him until the day he dies and promised to take care of herself when she was gone. But Eun Chae was so weak. Althought she showed Moo Hyuk that she was strong, Moo Hyuk saw right through her and decided to get away from her before he died.

Indeed, before his death, he gave his heart to Yoon and called Eun Chae on her mobile saying, "Rockhead, I'm Sorry, I Love You"

Moo Hyuk's death was a huge blow to Eun Chae that she went back to Australia to reminisce the times when they first met, until she lied down beside his grave, drinking poison, with a promise to fulfill the things that she hasn't done while Moo Hyuk was still alive. There, she died beside the man she loved the most.

This is indeed a very sad and tragic series but you can't help but be satisfied with how it ended because aside from the death, the truth is also revealed about Moo Hyuk's mother and Yoon's real relationship with him.

I'm Sorry I Love You will really make you cry and smile at the same time. This is like the typical Romeo and Juliet story where the phrase, "Till Death Do Us Part" really works. It shows how strong love is and how it satisfies every person even in death.

Five stars for this series! :D

Kim Hyun Woo felt so lucky when he was accepted at Harvard Law School. He worked hard to surpass the course, even the most toxic professor of the school.

Here he met another Korean girl whom he thought was working around Harvard as a prostitute, knowing later on that this girl Lee Soo In indeed was a student at Harvard Medical School.

Beeing so poor but with a gentle heart, Soo In worked as a volunteer in the Medical school to help sick people as well as to support her education.

Her relationship with Hyun Woo was prompted when hyun Woo won the mock trial against fellow Korean Hong Jung Min.

Hyun woo and Soo In have been so happy together but some circumstance brought them apart for quite a long time.

Going back to Korea as professionals, they were once again brought together by destiny, sparking up another flame between them. This time, Hyun Woo swore not to let go of his angel anymore.

But this isn't the end of their sufferings yet. Soo In has found out she has a terminal illness and will soon die if no further management will be done.

Because of great effort, love for each other and of course pure hearts, Lee Soo In and Kim Hyun Woo were able to surpass all the trials in their lives and managed to keep their bond stronger than before.

The wonder of this story is all about the patience of love and how long a love can wait for that one person it is willing to sacrifice with. Amidst hardship and pain, love will still get in between two people to survive.

Five stars for this series! :D

My Girl - Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae

Starring:

Lee Dong Wook - Seol Gong Chan (Julian Seol)

Lee Da Hae - Ju Yoo Rin (Jasmine Ju)

Park Si Yeon - Kim Sae Hyun (Anika Kim)

Lee Jun Ki - Seo Jung Woo (Nico Seo)

This story started when Ju Yoo Rin acted to go after her boyfriend just to get into the plane where her costumers are supposed to board. This was the time when she met the self-centered stubborn Seol Gong Chan who has seen through her pretentions.

Next stop? Gong Chan was already paying her to act as his long lost youger cousin just to please and to make his grandpa better.

The story went on, Gong Chan was taking care of Yoo Rin until such time that she fell for him which of course shouldn't happen. Little did Yoo Rin know, Gong Chan was also falling for him as well.

Risking everything, they continued on showing each other the love they are feeling until such time that grandpa found out about the pretentions and they were forced to be separated.

However, fate and true love brought them back together, this time, never letting go of each other even if their past have been so full of lies.

This korean series has been full of fun since the beginning then followed up by touching sad scenes toward the end, leading to a HAPPY ENDING...

We think it's just like the typical series that ends up the way it should end up. Indeed, it is. But what makes this series one of a kind? The way the story was carried out and because of the actors who are extraordinary in their acting.

Lee Dong Wook played the stubborn but very funny Seol Gong Chan and Lee Da Hae played Ju Yoo Rin, a poor, lying, bubbly but very loving girl. Fate met them up but choice brought them together.

This series shows us how two different worlds can be together if choice will be made and of course, love is indeed inportant to make a lasting relationship.

Five stars for this series!

Pain of Poverty

It was our last day of duty in Toril Proper for our Community Health Nursing. We were supposed to have some culmination activity for the community to enjoy.

But something shocked us as we arrived in our community. Houses were broken down by Gaisano's demolition team. It was a surprise seeing that those houses were still standing up the day before then now, you can see nothing but all foundations left, being hammered down.

This is one example of the pain of poverty. Of course, these people have nowhere to go now that their houses were destroyed. I understand the owner because in the first place, these people are just squatting. But what pains me is seeing the hopelessness on their faces, destroying their own houses since that'll what happen.

These people haven't been promised for a relocation. No one knew where they would go. They have been promised with it before, but it sisn't turn out good. Now, seeing them grathering all their things, saying goodbye to what they once called home is what really pained me a lot.

Even though they do not have their own place to build a house in, these peiople still have feelings and even though I saw the smiles on their faces as they left, I still know that deep inside them, the pain they feel is as worse as the way their houses are destroyed

Just Like Heaven

It has been a while since I've seen movies. And when I borrowed a DVD of Just Like Heaven from my friend, I never knew that I would fall in love with this one.

This movie stars Reese Witherspoon and Mark Ruffalo who both came from two different worlds.

Reese plays a very busy Doctor, Elizabeth Masterson who devoted all her life in the hospital. She has no husband, no family to take care of. she only has her sister whom she seldom visits because of her schedule.

One night after she was accepted in her hospital as an Attending Physician, she met an accident on her way home.

Three months after, David (Mark Ruffalo) arrived at san Francisco and rented a nice little apartment owned by Elizabeth. There he started seeing Elizabeth's spirit who doesn't know she's already dead.

Or was she really dead? As David and Lizzie found out who she really was, they also found out that she isn't dead but on a coma for three months.

They both looked for a way to stop Lizzie's sister from signing the agreement on pulling her life support. Finally, because of his love for Lizzie, he finally decided to steal her body.

As an ending to the movie, Lizzie came back to life when david kissed her lips. But she can no longer remember him. not knowing that only a touch could bring it all back together and that happened.

This movie tells the fun of meeting someone in the afterlife. Or in the present life but not really alive. David and Lizzie were supposed to meet each other through a friend of David and Lizzie's sister the night when she met an accident. They met while Lizzie's on a coma, meaning they really are meant for each other.

See the joy of seeing someone you will love in the future. Even if it's a live person or a spirit.

Tears of the Past are Coming Back in the Present

Pain. People sometimes feel it physically. Well I don't.

But guess what, as I've been through all my sufferings, I've finally learned and realized that physical pain is just a pinch from emotional pain.

Yes I laugh. Yes I joke around. Yes I make people happy. But those people didn't know how I truly feel inside because they do not look beyond what they can see.

I've shed so much tears in the past. I've busied myself with work so I can forget everything.
But why are the tears I shed in the past coming back right now? Why am I so bothered with the person who hurt me, who made me feel that I'm the weakest girl on earth?

Why do I still cry fo rhim? Why do I still think that it could still work for the two of us? He's long gone, he's happy. He doesn't even care about how I feel anymore.

Friendship is all that's left in us, and I should keep it. Keep it although my heart bleeds, keep it although my eyes cry out buckets of tears.

Because only friendship can spare me from dying.

...so much for being a nurse...

i guess so...many things have changed and now i'm halfway through my course...

but things are startinng to get off-course...stuff are dissolving, my grades aren't getting any good...

jeez, but i still can manage to smile...

yeah, smile...smile though the world is tumbling down...

because only smile can melt away sorrows...

and so i smile...i laugh and i don't cry...

because crying will worsen my burden...

so i smile...

i smile...

i smile...

until my lips stiffened and it'll make me feel crazy...

yeah, i guess i'm going crazy...
